The Perk Family

Three Generations of Home Building

1st Generation

In 1949, George Ransom Perkinson was widely respected for his pristine brick work and attention to detail. Through the 1950s and 1960s he branched out to building 2-3 custom homes annually for clients who owned their own lots.

2nd Generation

George’s son Randy Perkinson joined him in 1970. The father & son team built custom homes together and worked on various masonry projects across Richmond and the Tri Cities throughout the 1970s, 80s, and early 90s.

3rd Generation

George passed away in 2009. But his legacy lives on. Today, Brian Perkinson proudly continues in the footsteps of his grandfather and father who remains one of his most knowledgeable and trusted construction advisors.

President

Brian Perkinson

A 3rd generation homebuilder, Brian Perkinson holds a degree in Wood Science & Forest Products from Virginia Tech’s School of Natural Resources. He founded Perkinson Homes in 2008, during the beginning of the housing downturn. While many home builders compromised craftsmanship and quality work amid trying times, Brian grew the business through his relentless love for building unique custom homes. He enjoys the intricacies of custom work—never building the same home twice. Believing the smallest details matter, he promotes to his team members the concept of quality over quantity. Brian is known for integrity, authenticity, and a commitment to family values. He is a HBAR and NAHB Builder 20 member.

When he’s not leading his team, Brian enjoys offshore fishing and duck hunting. He proudly lives in a Perkinson Home with his wife Regina, two children, and two dogs.

Director of Marketing & Communications

Regina Perkinson

For the last 5 years, Regina has served as Perkinson Homes’ Director of Marketing and Communications. Her duties include managing the online communication portal PH Construct, keeping clients, vendors, and her team on the same page during the construction process. Although each Perkinson Home is unique, Regina’s constant communication and transparency makes the process enjoyable and seamless. Her favorite part is not only helping clients build their dream home but developing lifelong friendships with many of them. Some of Regina’s closest friends started as clients and she’s found these relationships extremely fulfilling.

Giving back to the community is extremely important to the Perkinson Family. Regina heads up Perkinson’s community outreach and is a member of the Development and Gala Committees for the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation. In her free time, she loves playing basketball, tennis, and going to the beach with Brian and her children.
