Home Office Organization

Open concept floor plans, while popular amongst homeowners for flow and entertaining purposes can present challenges for families working and attending virtual school at home. The need to create private, quiet spaces within your home has become more crucial than ever!  From formal studies and pocket offices to homework stations – there are plenty of ways to utilize space and stay organized.

At Perkinson Homes, we help clients design custom architectural plans that provide proper work areas, (formal and pocket-sized alike) that fit seamlessly into their homes. Depending on needs, budget, and desired look,  we can customize your home office or homework station by utilizing the talents of our cabinet makers,  master craftsman, trim carpenters, or preferred closet companies.  It is helpful when clients come to us with inspiration photos so we can lead them to the best fit for their project. Do you want a clean and modern look? Or traditional mahogany formal office?

From simple designs to elaborate built-ins we have you covered!

On many projects, we partner with  Inspired Closets who offer custom organization solutions for your home. While they may be more well known for designing amazing closets, they also specialize in other areas of the home –  including home offices!

Steve Dash, owner of Inspired Closets is skilled at designing unique spaces for homeowners while using up-to-date technology and trends. One of the cool “bells and whistles” Dash offers clients is the invisible wireless charger. Simply place your phone on the desktop; no cables or charging pads! Inspired also utilizes wall units, Murphy beds, and multi-work stations.

Steve has been through enough projects to have advice for clients looking to design and build a new home office or work area. “Start with the space. Think about the best place in your home where you can be most productive. Is it private or convenient? Then think about how you like to work; do you need desktop space for paperwork or room for multiple screens?”

At Perkinson Homes, we have built everything from custom cabinetry formal offices to simple clean line homework stations, all built by our trim carpenter. Companies like Inspired Closets, who although more known for their amazing closets, can also create unique home office spaces. Depending on your needs and budget we can custom design your plans to include distinctive work spaces to keep your home organized and running efficiently!
